  1. Marc Anthony Performance
The best concert that I have ever been was Marc Anthony performance in 2008. It was the best concert because he is one of my favorite artists. Also, the environment was perfect because I went with my best friend and some other special friends. It was in Jaime Duque Park, there was full. My location was perfect because I was in platinum, so I could see the performance perfectly. The logistics was amazing because the staff and stage was awesome. Moreover, I could enjoy Alejandro Fernando Fernandez performance. The lights and sounds were incredible. The worst thing was the arrival because there was traffic jam. I loved this concert because I think that Marc Anthony has beautiful songs, and his voice is incredible. His show was stunning.

  2. MIIKE SNOW SHOW
Although Miike Snow is not my favourite band, was one of the best concerts that I have gone. This is a Swedish electropop band formed in 2007; members are Andrew Wyatt, Pontus Winnberg and Christian Karlsson. They came to Bogotá, Colombia last year, on September 18th. This day, the tickets had a very expensive price, so a friend of mine invited me because he had won a couple of tickets in a contest.

I really loved this concert, because on the one hand, the energy of place was absolutely amazing, people was excited and joyful, people that laughed and talked with some drinks in their hands. And friends did a toast for being there. Also, sound quality was very good, the lights and the stage was well organized. They really put a lot of effort and energy into their show, and have really great stage presence, so I highly advise anyone who hasn't seen them. They played songs like ‘Animal’, ‘Black and blue’ and ‘Cult Logic’.

  3. I couldn’t decide which one was the best concert of my life between two concerts, because I have really enjoyed them although they were really different.
The first one is a concert of Carlos Vives in Cartagena, it was very exciting for me because it was like my first concert, I was 14 or 15 years old and I went there with all my older cousins, so I felt like I was a “big girl”.
I love that kind of tropical music and the same kind of environment: everybody was dancing, singing and having fun there. It didn’t matter that the weather was so extremely hot.
Carlos Vives sang during one hour and a half, and I didn’t stop dancing and screaming all the night.

The second one was a concert of Juanes in Munich in 2008; I really like Juanes but I love this concert not just because of Juanes but because of the energy there. It felt so good to feel proud of being Colombian in other country, and it was exactly how I felt.
I went there with a Colombian friend, other Colombian guy and two German girls. There were Colombian flags all around, Colombian and Latin-American people, and a lot of Germans too.
At the beginning, there was a band (I don’t remember the name) that opened the concert, after playing some songs, Juanes appeared at the stage. It was really nice to see how everybody, including the Germans, knew the songs. Juanes talked very often about Colombia, he mentioned Medellin and Bogotá.
We were close to the stage and my friend and I are almost sure he said “hello” to us because we were waiving a Colombian flag. There was also a pretty good light show, the lights moved from the stage to the public while they made the Colombian flag.
I remember this concert as a really good one!!

  4. The best concert where I have been in my place was the Muse's concert in summer 2006 (in Arras, Francia). It was for the Main Square Festival (a big festival there where groups like U2, David Guetta or Black Eyed Peas already came)
The first part of the concert was Secondsex (a small french group) and The Kooks, which wasn't really famous already. The good thing is that the order of the group was great, starting with a « so-so » group, increasing the move with the kooks, and after that Muse.
First, about the context of the concert. We are in July 2006, and it's the quarterfinal of the world football cup: France - Brazil. So during the first part of the concert, with the group, on the two giant screen aside the podium, all the 40 000 people assist to the first goal of France. As it was an « on air » concert, in a big central place with building all around, and everyone was jumping and crying for te goal, it was like a surrealistic scene. The ground was like moving.
The staging was really nice, with some large transparent pillars, giving more power to the light effects, and also four big white panels behind the group with a lot of different lights.
So Muse started to play with the song «Knights Of Cydonia » and then played some classics of their album like Bliss or SuperMassive Black Hole. It was really powerful songs , and almost no stops between the track, so it was great all the time.
Maybe the best point of the concert were when, at 15 minutes of the end, we show on the screen that the football game was ended, and so France eliminated Brazil, and at the same time the group was still playing and start the (really good) song: Time is running out. We saw that people from the balcony of the building all around the place of the concert crying and throwing champagne!
It have been a great moment.

  5. It was Saturday, July 23rd, 2011. We had driven for 5 hours from Madrid and finally arrived at Monegros. We had already bought our tickets for the Monegros Festival online and finally entered the venue after a 20-minute queue.
There were 5 different stages, each with a different line-up; over 40 DJs playing; 5 different bars; and 20 hours of continuous music, all in one single rave. We knew we were in for a wild time.
After getting a couple of drinks from the bar we went to one of the tents where the show had started. We went from tent to tent to get the most we could out of the Festival. Behind every booth there was a huge screen where animations were played. There was also a complex lighting set up on stage. These were in sync with the beats of the track played and followed the flow of the set. Cryo-jets that activated every now and then, psychedelic animations that played during the buildup of the track, strobe lights that lit on the precise moment a break was dropped, enhanced the entire experience lived at the Monegros Festival. The DJ owned the stage and the crowd was his. Everybody entered a trance as the show evolved into a wild rave and the music made everyone lose all inhibitions.
World-renowned DJs like David Guetta, Carl Cox, John Digweed and Andres Campo were part of this festival. From 6 p.m. to 1 p.m. of the following day nobody eats, nobody sleeps, and nobody stops. But it’s not like anybody needs to. For one day neither hunger nor exhaustion exist.
The Monegros Festival is definitely a show every music and party lover must attend if visiting Europe during the summer!

  6. The best concert that i have been was Coldplay concert in Bogotá the last year. The show was amazing, the songs were which the public wanted to hear, the band played songs like Clocks, Fix you, Viva la vida, Yellow, In my place among others. The band who opened the show was "Bat for Lashes" and is a british singer. Also, I have to say that Aerosmith performance was really good and I really like the concerts of "La 33", the songs are so good, the show is great. I liked the concert when they played with Chocquib Town.

The best concert I have gone to was in carnivals about 4 years ago, in which Juan Carlos Coronel and Checo Acosta sang. I don’t really know if I was really drunk or something but I really liked it, especially because they made the whole entire people dance: from little kids to old people, they just danced the night out.
Juan Carlos Coronel puts up a show unforgettable. His orchestra is composed but almost 15 percussion players, wind instrument players and three piano players, who introduce and accompany this artist in his show. He has sung through different rhythms in his music courier like salsa, porro, bolero, tropical and balada; that’s why his musical preference is so well known in festivals like carnivals, surely because his music is heard by people from different ages. About his voice I only can say that he sings really well, taking into account that he was one of the judges in The X Factor here in Colombia; therefore he has to have some specialty in singing or stage performance/presentation.
In the other hand, but having the same taste in music is Checho Acosta, a classic carnival singer. What most people don’t know is that behind his singing attributes, he can also play the piano, the guitar, the timbal, guache, guiro, congas, and the bongo. Checo generally plays cumbia, but you can also find salsa, merengue, porro, between others. One of the things most expectators like about Checo’s performances are his ballerinas that most of the time are svelte women who know how to dance. I know for a fact that both his wife and his daughter have danced by him in many of his presentations.
I really liked their performances, even though I don’t know much about how the sound is best heard or anything in concerts. I just know that I really had fun in this party and I wouldn’t have been the same without them.

The best concert I've been was the Vicente Fernandez concert. The concert was about 8 years ago in Mexico City. That summer I traveled with my family to know Mexico, and when we got to see the great publicity we decided to buy concert tickets, there were only available on "stage", so we had to buy a table for the whole family. The presentation was scheduled Vicente from 9 pm to 11 pm for weather problems, however, came to sing about 12 o'clock at night. When he finished the three rounds about 2 am he proposed to the public that depending on the amount he received applause and shouts after every song, another song continued until no one or very few people clap. Vincent kept his promise for a little more than 2 hours, but about 5 am he told that he had to leave because he had a flight at 8 am. It was the best concert.

The best concert that I have been was in La Escollera, Sata Marta two years ago. This concert meeting the most important singers of the Vallenato such us Joe Arroyo, Jorge Celedón and Dragón y Caballero. The first singer was Dragón y Caballero, then Jorge Celedón and Joe Arroyo was the last artist. However, I was very excited when my uncle ... Jorge Celedon and Joe Arroyo because I never imagined to met with them

The music is an expression of art that we create from the heart, which is why the songs become moments and experiences.
It would be useless to try to describe all the feelings that I had upon hearing the first verse of "I don want to miss a thing", the memories that came to my mind and how the emotion invaded me.
Every detail was stunning, the lights, the stage, the musicians and their movements captured in the screens ( where also showed photographs and included the fans )... But above all the connection they had with the public.
Each of member of the band tried to express and convey the feeling,.
Perry with his guitar solos and wearing the shirt of Colombia shook the Simon Bolivar, not only for the clarity of his notes, but by the demonstration of affection and love for his followers in this country.
On the other hand, Tyler, appeared with a touch of finesse playing the piano on "dream on".
So the band was performing hit after hit, to make their fans forget the 12 hours they waited standing outside, ensured that the 3 hours concert worth more than the money invested .
Aerosmith managed to get out more than a band playing live, making us feel alive in their music.

actually, I haven’t been to many concerts in my life, because I prefer the places without so many people, and the few concerts that I've gone, they have been organized by radio stations and for that reason I've never paid for going to a concert.
however I believe that in order to make an excellent concert, it must have three main factors in the logistic:
the first one is the sound: the show has a good sound system, that is, not only that the music is heard throughout the space where the concert takes place but also the sound is right with the different songs that touch the artist
the second one is the logistics: a concert must have good methods of organization of people who will enjoy the show.
Finally, a good concert must have an excellent show by the artist, not just songs, but also the presentation and the lights

  12. The best concert I've been one of Don Omar, personally I think it was so good because it had all the elements that I consider important.

First, the people you go to the concert determined almost the 60% of the success of the show, and in that time I went to that concert with my closest friends and we had a few drinks so that made it really good.
In second place I think that the show is a very important part in the development of a concert, for example in that time were fireworks, lights, dancers and things like that, that made the concert amazing and entertaining.
I also think that a good concert has to have a very good sound because if you don’t understand the lyrics of the songs and the quality of the sound is pretty bad people will lose interest and find the concert boring.
Finally I think that what make a concert amazing is the performance of the artist and that his voice sound like in the radio, and I remember that in that concert Don Omar was great in scene and his voice was pretty good.

  13. THE BEST CONCERT
To be honest, I’ve not been in a real concert, with sound system and lights, or a big show with dancer, etc. I am a dancer, so I have not had the chance to enjoy this kind of shows because of the different way to appreciate the music between dancers and singers in a concert. Even though, I use to go to classic music concerts, with symphony orchestra, usually in Bogotá. The last concert I went had place at a park in the theatre “Jorge Eliecer Gaitán” in Bogotá. It was October 15 at 4 o’clock at the afternoon. I think it was the most beautiful concert I´ve ever been, because of the combination between two special features: first, there was a wonderful orchestra, it had all its members with their respective instruments, they all were dressed with costume, I mean, evening dress, and the sound of this kind of music, it’s always beautiful when you appreciate this music.
In the other hand, the theatre is really amazing, it’s localized at the Seventh Avenue and street twenty-two, it has place for almost 1.750 people, it was restored during around 11 months and it was reopened the 19 of March of 2010. For the presentation, for the presentation, driving filters were implemented to remove moisture and increased the depth of theenclosure to improve conditions for the use of the musicians. All the tickets were sold, that’s why the “Secretaría Distrital” decide, to show the spectacle at different places around the city, even in Medellín. At Bogotá, it was shown at the “Zone T” and at the Mall “El Tintal”. At Medellín, it was shown at “El parque el Poblado”; furthermore, there were other cities like, Cali and Pereira. The mean idea was to interpret the Mahler's Eighth Symphony.
It was the best concert I’ve been because of the perfection and the synchronization of the musicians; the combination of the theatre and this kind of music, make of this concert one of the most important that had been showed at the city. The Mahler's Eighth Symphony, is one of the most wonderful pieces of classic music, it was the last work Mahler premiered in life and had a great critical and commercial success when it was conducted at the premiere in Munich on September 12, 1910. It makes a combination of voice and instruments, that it’s divided in two parts. Here is the link, of one of the practices that the Bogota’s orchestra made before the concert.

  14. VIVA LA VIDA!

After an afternoon under the sun and making a row that no longer saw the end, finally opened the doors of the Simon Bolivar Park, at March 4 in 2010, and was not to expect much less, because for first time in Colombia had the British rock band Coldplay, with a show that was considered the best of the year.

At about 6pm the first band to play, were the Colombians “Estados Alterados”, with an electronic rhythm showed what came later, then it was time for Bat for Lashes, who was in charge of putting the English touch at night.

And at about 8 pm after much waiting, was in the big screen a map of Latin America that began to bring to Colombia and then to Bogota, while began to sound Life in Technicolor background, and in the dark with flares, appeared Chris Martin, Guy Berryman, Jonny Buckland and Will Champion, the Coldplay.

It was a very good start to the rhythm of Violet Hill, and perhaps the song that made that the group had world famous; Yellow, while the park was filled with yellow balloons bouncing between the public, but after, be changed by laser beams dancing at Clocks rhythm in what looked more like a electronic party.

But perhaps the most exciting moment of the night, was in the middle of the concert, when the band played Lovers in Japan and butterflies of all colors covered the stage, as a sign of freedom.

And at the rate of instrumental songs, interaction with the public, chanting all the songs, was finishing the night with Chris Martin playing The Scientist in his piano, and closing whit Life in Technicolor II accompanied by fireworks, to finish the best way, an amazing night.

  15. Coldplay in Colombia

I have been in others concerts, like two of Juanes, one of Andres Cepeda, and others. Each concert had different aspects that defined the good performance of the show.
For example the lights, the musicians, if there are dancers, or additional aid.

I actually didnt love the british band Coldplay, and i´ve never consider pay for going to a concert of them; but that they i was walking with my sister to the place of the concert because she was going, when i received a call from a friend, who invited me.
I leave my sister in her section and i go with my friend to the first section. Finally when we get through to the concert. The opening show was "Bat for lashes" an also british group that traveled with Coldplay to opened their show.
The music of the oppening was fine, but when the show of Coldplay started was amazing, the lights, the sounds, every thing was shocking, was an international performance that most of the people included my self have never seen it.
The show was awesome, and i actually love Coldplay after that show. I love their music, their videos, the lyrics, all of that is brilliant.

What is the best concert you have been?

The best concert i have been was “Vicente Fernandez in Bogota” in “parque simon bolivar” on septiembre 25, 2009. There were nearly 50.000 people, who sang all his songs.
In this concert also were singing Giovanny Ayala, Jorge Celedon and cantantes de Chipuco, and then to finalized the concert Vicente Fernandez who sang almost 2 hours.
First, he interpreted “Tierra de Jalisco” then “por tu maldito amor” , “mujeres divinas” etc., And dozen other songs.
Vicente Fernandez was with his traditional mariachi suit. Moreover people were very happy because the light show was also spectacular.
I went to the concert with a group of friends who knew all the songs of Vicente Fernandez; we were in a very good atmosphere.
The concert was to raise money for children without families, and also was to help “fundacion renace” (is a foundation that is responsible for receiving child victims of violence). Similarly, Jorge Celedon also sang his best songs and did a very good show encouraging all people who were in place.
I think it was a very good concert not only for the stage show but also for the charity of that event.

  17. i haven`t been to a lot of concerts but since a few years ago i enjoy a lot the electronic music. a couple years ago i went to the david guetta concert, it was amazing all the people dancing and enjoying the party and the good music. I remembered that everyone was so happy and chilling out with everyone. Nobody was fighting or annoying. Everyone was just doing their thing no matter what was going on around them.
The party continued until 7 am in the morning where everyone was tired but some others want more. for some of them it was just the beginning of the party.
